This week is February break and I am in Budapest with my mom and sister. We’ve been planning activities to do everyday, on we went on a tour of the Parliament building which is the biggest Parliament building in Europe. On Tuesday we went on a two hour walking tour of the Jewish district in the Pest side of Budapest. Here we saw multiple synagogues and went inside the Grand Synagogue, on our way back we went to the Basilica of St. Stephen, we went inside and saw St, Stephen’s hand which was found when he was being re buried and his hand was taken and mummified. Today we went to the Buda side of Budapest to the Castle district. This was probably one of my favorite activities because I got to see a whole different part of the city, I am staying in the Pest side so it was really cool to cross the river that divides the two parts and see what the Buda side was like.
Next Tuesday I will talk about what we are doing for the rest of the week and have more pictures.
