my first roll of film

The first day I took my camera out to take shots, it was very overcast and foggy. I went to a cemetery first and I practiced focusing on gravestones. we decided to photograph a cemetery because when it is overcast out that can make a very interesting and dramatic shot. after the cemetery we went to a dock to take pictures of the boats. It was amazing shooting with film for the first time and I plan on doing it again.

The most difficult part of this process for me was the anticipation and worry about if the photos even came out. It’s tough enough not being able to see your pictures to correct mistakes but knowing that there is a chance that no photo will come out at all is annoying. There was one point while I was out that made me think that I wouldn’t get any photos. I was trying to take pictures at the dock but the button on my camera stopped taking pictures. luckily we have a friend who is a photographer and was able to fix the camera simply by taking off the lens and putting it back on, which worked as a reset. I really enjoyed shooting with film and I plan on using it much more.
